Jafeth
Lead Teacher, Koalas
Jafeth started ELDC in February 2024. Jafeth is new to the PNW having just moved here from Peru. In Peru, she worked in a variety of careers, from marketing to childcare. While working in childcare in Peru, she worked with 3-4 years old She has a bachelors degree in communication.
Melissa
Lead Teacher, Kangaroos
Melissa started ELDC in March 2021. Melissa has a BA in Cinema Studies from the University of Oregon. She has spent time nannying for her nieces and nephews. She was a tour guide in Seattle and feels she is able to teach people of all ages! She loves being in nature and is local to the PNW. She has a wonderful sense of humor and the kids are getting big laughs with her!
Erika
Lead Teacher, Kangaroos
Erika started ELDC in May 2023. She has two sisters and a cat name Bricks. She is new to the field of early education, but loves younger toddlers. She enjoys going to concerts, going to restaurants, spending time with friends, and being outside. She is currently working on he AA in ECE at North Seattle.
Annie
Lead Teacher, Kookaburras
Annie started at ELDC in September of 2005. She has a Bachelors Degree and before ELDC, she worked with autistic children at The Child School. Annie is passionate about creating and implementing the highest quality curriculum, and enthusiastically researches the most current ECE studies to share with the center.
Jennifer
Lead Teacher, Kookaburras
Jennifer started ELDC in June 2023. Jennifer is new to the field of early education, but she helped raise her youngest sister. She has two sisters and a cat name Bricks. She loves being in the preschool rooms, and has been focused on sharing her love of drawing with them!
Logan
Lead Teacher, Wombats
Logan started ELDC in June 2022. He took a break to hike the Pacific Trail and came back October 2023. He is a graduate from UW with a BS in Human and Animal Physiology. He has three years of working and volunteering as an Aikido teacher serving children ages 3-14. He also have tutored math and science for high school students and was a teacher’s assistant at UW. He love all things outdoors, like backpacking and climbing. He also volunteered at the Seattle Aquarium.
Devon
Lead Teacher, Wombats
Devon started ELDC in May 2023. Devon has worked mostly with school age children at Brightmont Academy. She also has experience babysitting family members. Devon is the oldest of three sisters and grew up on Anderson Island. She has a degree in English and Linguistics. She became interested in teaching after taking an early childhood language acquisition course. She loves to game, draw, write, and spend time with her dog, Diego.
Aubrie H
Assistant Teacher
Aubrie started ELDC in December 2023. Aubrie is from California and has been in Seattle for two years. Before coming to ELDC, she was a lead teacher at Bright Horizons working with young preschoolers. Aubrie is a enjoys working in all preschool classrooms, but really loves the 2’s and 3’s.
Wes
Assistant Teacher
Wes started EDLC in February 2025. Wes graduated from Omaha Central High School and attended East Los Angeles Community College for Graphic Design. Wes has worked with ages 7-10 as a camp counselor. Wes is a student of dance and taught hip-hop classes. He plays multiple instruments, including piano and violin. Wes is the third oldest of 12 siblings and is multi-cultural with roots in Panama and the Philippines.
Mireya
Assistant Teacher
Mireya started EDLC in June 2025. Mireya is new to the field of early childhood education. She has some experience with young children through family care giving and being a volunteer. She enjoys playing soccer, going on hikes, and spending time with family and friends. She also loves pets!
Rebeca
Assistant Teacher
Rebeca started EDLC in October 2025. Before becoming an assistant teacher here at ELDC Rebeca worked as a caregiver and she also worked with younger children who had autism and disabilities. She is very excited to be working with different ages groups so she can gain more skills. Outside of work she loves to explore on the weekend by hiking with friends. She also enjoys playing videogames and loves baking and cooking for her loved ones.
Dilara
Assistant Teacher
Wes started EDLC in February 2025. Dilara studied as a swimming coach in college and gained experience working with children in varies environments. She has worked as a babysitter for different families and also teaching swim lessons for younger children. She enjoys hiking and the outdoors, dancing, traveling and taking nature photos.
Alexis
Classroom Aide/ Sub
Alexis started ELDC in June 2022, but has been a part of the ELDC community her whole life and has always had a goal of being more a part of the community by becoming a staff member. She goes to Mountlake Terrace high school and does part-time college work at Edmonds. She likes to hike, read, embroider, make jewelry, and play the ukulele.
